About The Practice

Concord Longevity Medicine (CLM) seeks to use simpler, more natural yet evidence based methods in treating chronic diseases such as Diabetes, Obesity, and Hypertension. CLM offers a one-on-one approach where you can meet with your physician and nurse to create a lifestyle plan that works for you. Improving your health is seen as a team effort where you are intimately involved in making the changes that will last a lifetime.

While our medical world has made incredible advances with technology and imagination at the helm, it seems that we have perhaps abandoned all too quickly some of the most effective and enduring medical interventions we’ve ever known. Frequently, an ailment is addressed with medication in hopes that it will be a magical elixir. The prescription pad however, overlooks an arsenal of medications that can be found right in our own backyard or grocer…food! God made our bodies to flourish and thrive with nutrients from the foods He created. Our goal is to get you off the pills, not add more to the medicine cabinet.

About Us

Meghann Blankenship, MD

Dr. Meghann Blankenship was raised in Birmingham, Alabama where she attended Auburn University (War Eagle!) and completed her degree at University of Alabama at Birmingham. She received her medical degree from University of South Alabama College of Medicine in 2010.

Dr. Blankenship completed her residency in internal medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in 2013. Her time in primary care began in a farming community in rural Georgia and came to a close after practicing in a community free clinic for over 5 years. Her focus then shifted toward nutrition and lifestyle medicine. She has since researched and developed a different style of practice that incorporates more involvement from the patient and less reliance on pharmacologic interventions.

She is an active member in the Obesity Medical Association and Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners. Her passion has grown from a small interest in nutrition into a strong desire to improve the health and longevity of all patients through their own nutrition and lifestyle changes. As a self proclaimed lifelong nerd, she is more than happy to share her knowledge with anyone willing to listen and especially those wanting to learn how to become the healthiest version of themselves.

When not in the office she can be found running trails with her favorite four legged creature, Simon, “taste testing” in Sarah’s kitchen, or chauffeuring her three children around town.

Sarah Fox, RNC

Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida, School of Nursing in 2005. She worked for nine years as a Pediatric ICU nurse before relocating to Concord, NC where she worked in the Emergency Department for three years. As her journey in nutrition and fitness progressed, she took a leap of faith and left the hospital system to receive her nutrition certification from Noakes Network.

Sarah’s fitness wheelhouse includes a variety of activities comprised of 20+ years of running, four years of dance education, five years of boot camp coaching, being an active member in the CrossFit community, as well as finishing in the top 10% of women in Ironman 70.3 distance.

At CLM, her experience is put to use in creating fitness plans for patients specific to their body and current health status.

For the past five years, Sarah has been coaching fitness classes and creating meal and fitness plans for clients. On a typical day, you can find Sarah working out in her home gym followed by time spent in the kitchen concocting delicious and healthy recipes for her family and those around her. If the gym and kitchen are quiet, you’ll find her schooling and chasing her three young children. At CLM, Sarah’s role includes creating individualized meal plans for patients as well as educating them on nutrition and how to best fuel their bodies. She also spends time walking the aisles of local grocery stores with patients and taking strolls in the park with them to encourage regular movement.
